Talos

Quick answer: Talos is a confirmed boss in Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, fought in the Clock Tower. His weak point is the orange core in his chest — hit that, not the bronze body. He seals into the "The Builder" Arcana on defeat, alongside the Fist of Talos and Smash.

Who is Talos?

Talos comes from Greek mythology — a giant bronze automaton, built by Hephaestus to guard the island of Crete. He's appeared across Castlevania before (the bronze colossus in Aria of Sorrow is the best-known take).

In Belmont's Curse, Talos is fought in the Clock Tower under the Arcana title "The Builder" — fitting, since the mythic Talos is a constructed being.

Confirmed status

Talos was confirmed at launch by two independent signals:

  • The shipped trophy/achievement "Talos Aversion — Defeat the Builder" lists him as a boss you defeat (level B).
  • Post-launch guides place the fight and give it a strategy (level C).

Before launch this page would have marked him unconfirmed — he's now a verified fight.

The fight

  • Weak point: the orange core in his chest. The bronze body shrugs off damage; the fight is about hitting the exposed core.
  • Location: the Clock Tower.

How to beat Talos

  • Target the orange chest core. The weak point is the core in his chest — the bronze body is not the target.

The Arcana title is "The Builder". One boss, two names — don't count them separately.
