Full-game install size

The table above lists Konami's official storage requirements. What the console actually stores is close to — but not the same as — that number:

PlatformStore requirement (Standard / Midnight)Reported download size
PS58 GB / 10 GB7.136 GB (version 01.001.000)
Xbox Series X|S8 GB / 10 GBNot confirmed
PC (Steam)8 GB / 10 GBNot confirmed
Nintendo Switch4 GB / 6 GBNot confirmed
  • PS5 — 7.136 GB confirmed. The exact figure comes from console store data reported by PlayStation Game Size and carried by play3.de and several other outlets. Konami's own listing still states 8 GB for the Standard edition and 10 GB for the Midnight Edition, so keep the official number as your planning figure.
  • Other platforms — reported sizes vary between outlets and none is confirmed by store data, so we're not publishing one. We'll add each platform's confirmed figure as store listings go live.
  • This is the preload build. A day-one patch can change the final footprint.
  • Demo sizes are separate and smaller — 6 GB on PS5, 5 GB on Xbox, 4 GB on Steam, 3 GB on Switch (Demo).

Release status

  • Demo — live since October 1, 2026 (Demo)
  • Full game — released October 15, 2026 on all four platforms (Release Date)
  • PS5 preload — opened October 13, 2026, roughly 48 hours before launch
  • Switch 2 — no native version; the Switch build runs there at 60 FPS via backwards compatibility (below)
  • Physical editions — Editions

Switch 2 status — the honest answer

"Belmont's Curse Switch 2" is one of the most-searched questions about the game, and the answer is: not announced. Konami confirmed the original Switch version arrives day-one, but no native Switch 2 version has been revealed.

What players should know:

  • The Switch version plays on Switch 2 via backwards compatibility
  • Via backwards compatibility, the Switch build runs at 60 FPS on Switch 2 (versus 30 FPS on the original Switch), per hands-on coverage of the demo
  • Konami could announce a native Switch 2 version later — nothing official exists yet
