Castlevania: Belmont's Curse boss order

All Bosses in Order

Quick answer: no official boss order exists yet — Konami has not published one, and the game is not playable until October 15, 2026. The order below is the only boss checklist published so far, from a single pre-release source that labels itself a work in progress. Treat every position in it as unconfirmed.

That's the honest state of things two days before launch. This page gives you the full list now, marks exactly what is confirmed and what isn't, and gets upgraded to verified facts once the launch build is playable.

How to read this table. The order, the area names and the two repeat encounters all come from one pre-release checklist — the source is linked at the bottom of this page, and it states plainly that it is a work in progress. Only the entries marked ✓ have been confirmed by Konami, and their positions in this order are not confirmed — the confirmation covers that the character is a boss, not where the fight happens. Everything else is reported, not verified.

Why you'll see both 16 and 18

Coverage of the game describes 16 bosses. The checklist above lists 18 encounters, because Death and Isaac each appear twice — once mid-game and once near the end.

Whether those repeat fights count as separate bosses, and whether the final total is 16, 18 or something else, is unconfirmed. We'll state a confirmed total only after the launch build is playable.

Which bosses are officially confirmed

Seven bosses have been revealed by Konami. Six of them already have a page here with their confirmed lore and series context:

The other eleven names on the list — Talos, Brauner, Succubus, Mammon, Arthur, Saint Louis, Eleanor, Doppelganger and the second Death and Isaac fights — come only from that unconfirmed checklist. We are not writing strategy pages for them until launch confirms they exist as fights.

Why boss order matters

In Belmont's Curse, a defeated boss is sealed into an Arcana — a tarot-card ability Rose equips (Arcana system). That makes the order of fights a progression decision, not just a route:

  • Every victory expands your kit, so an early boss can hand you the ability that opens a later area
  • Classic Metroidvania gating means some routes are locked until you hold a specific Arcana
  • Which boss you take first changes your build (Builds)

The practical version of this — which order to actually fight them in — is a launch-day question. The moment the game is playable, this table gets a recommended route column next to the reported order.

Prerequisites and current status

  • Playable now: only the opening chapter and its boss, The Fallen, in the demo
  • Everything else: locked until October 15, 2026
  • Before you fight any boss: the demo route and the post-boss backtrack are in the walkthrough
